ASI is the only professional organization in the United States solely devoted to the advancement of indexing, abstracting, and database building.

Australian Society of Indexers: http://www.aussi.org

The Australian Society of Indexers is a 200 strong body of information professionals in Australia and New Zealand who specialize in indexing books, journals, databases and the internet. Conferences, meetings, genealogy SIGs and indexing training are held. The Newsletter, Indexers Available, conference proceedings and The Indexer are available.

The Indexing Society of Canada (ISC / SCI) was established in 1977 to encourage the production and use of indexes and abstracts, to promote the recognition of indexers and abstractors, to improve indexing and abstracting techniques, and to provide a means of communication among individual indexers and abstractors across Canada.
